The dried fruits are called this way because all have a characteristic in common: in their natural composition they have less than 50% of water. The consumption of dried fruits is very related with the health to be very energy foods, rich in fatty, in proteins, oligoelements, Vitamin E (acting as main antioxidant), vitamins B, acids fatty omega 3 (poliinsaturatted), match, magnesium, copper, iron, calcium, hydrates of carbon and fibers.

The consumption of dried fruits favors a decrease of saturated fats (LDL)1 -those that bear a cardiovascular risk - and an increase of not saturated fats (HDL)2 that help to prevent the coronary illnesses.

_____________________________________________

1 LDL: It is the main transporter of the cholesterol, essential for the viability of the cells, through the blood toward the outlying fabrics that are not the liver. It is considered the precursor of the coronary problems.

2 HDL: It captures the cholesterol coming from the outlying fabrics and it transports it toward the liver where the cholesterol is discharged, the one which you catabolize in salts biliars and it is liberated to the digestive apparatus.
